Good, Bad, Ugly

The good is that CMS is now a registered entity. The other good is that we will definately have a bank account. The bad was that the paperwork was not in the right place to finalize that bank account and I have to wait for another appointment. The really bad is that the building we were going to rent got rented to someone else without even a warning to us. SO... the ugly... we must look for another location with the right size, location, and budget... before April. Well, we can do some of the workshops in our original location but the bigger/messier classes need a new spot. CMS is outgrowing its place and needs a place of its own. Just wish this didn't fall through. I hope this means that someing much better is waiting for us to discover it. It would be nice if we had a few hints in the right direction.

The Next Step

I am so excited... I have been bouncing off the walls all night!

Yesterday, I officially registered Crescent Moon as a business... legally. YAY!!! When I did so, I was asked if it was non-profit. I was kinda stumped. I hadn't really considered if i was running a business or not as we barely make money. So I told the woman at the counter that I hope to be able to live off it and offer a salary eventually to my teachers who are currently teaching under contract. She smiled knowingly and said I best register as a business as I am aiming for survivable profit even it isn't aimed at wealthy success. So that is what I did. Crescent Moon Spiritual Learning Centre/Centre d'Etudes Spirituelles Lune Croissante is now officially and legally registered with me as sole proprietor (owner). The address is set to my house as I have yet to sign a lease for a location. That allows me to use my office in the home as a tax write-off. I am so excited!!! The school has taken its first step into the big and real world or recognition. I claimed no employees on the registration form as it is all by contract and employees implies salaries that meet minimun standards which the contract do not.

This is going to be a big week for exciting things.

I got my driver's licence renewed. Now for the car fixings and registration. Also other such finances as getting acustome dress I ordered long time ago, and paying bills. Things will come together. Due to the financial crunch, M-SB and I have postponed our handfasting till April where his finances and mine will be able to handle it better.

Today: I go open a Bank account for this new business of mine, clean the kitchen/bedroom/hall entrance, bake a cake (the one I wanted for my birthday that no one ever makes for me), write up very late thank you notes for the engagement dinner we had, and redo the pamphlet for Crescent Moon (emailing the web-mistress to update the site with the new info on curriculum).

Sick

I am still sick.

Yesterday i was feeling a bit better. I tried to renew my driver's licence to discover that they don't take visa. Grrrr. then on my way home i was rear ended by a van at a red light. I only have a scratched bumper. No biggy. I screamed lots at the stupidity of the driver. He screamed back. nothing was acomplished. I went to look at a possible location for the school. That went well. Now waiting on news regarding the first location. When I got home I did some house cleaning till the energy ran low then slept for 2.5 hrs. I made supper and a vanilla pudding pie (whipping cream will be on tonite's or tomorrow's agenda) and prepared for a CMS teacher's meeting. The meeting went rather well, but took a lot out of me. More than I expected. I was shaking for an hour after everyone left. :( Then proceded to cough till 5AM. Now I have no voice. I am supposed to work in retail today and teach a Latin class tonight... great...

AAARRRGGGG!!!!!

Yesterday was work at the clinic. It was slow. I was supposed to go to a BBQ with my West Island friends, but I had to go to my parents. I got home around 10pm and struggled with a soar throat that was really starting to bother me. At 1AM I went over to the Kennel to pill a cat and walk the dogs to discover that one dog climed over the tall kennel cage sidings to run free in the kennel area. He also destroyed the wood AND the metal door framing among other things. What was supposed to be a 20 min walk dogs and pill cat evening turned into an hour of cleaning!

I have both kennel work and Store work today. My soar throat yesterday has turned into a full blown summer cold. The throat is still soar. I will go get some daytime cold tylenol on my way to the store.

I feel like crap.

Kanehsatake ?!

Front page of the Gazette today has an article about Kanehsatake community complaining badly of poor policing and improper political support. This is nothing new to the reserve community. (Or any other for that matter.) What?!? Don't the Natives have their chiefs? Aren't their chiefs capable of coordinating themselves enough to provide for their communities? If nothing else, to lead them and protect them by mustering their own "warriors" to keep the peace?

It is very sad when a noble people falls so low that they are not able to remember their heritage and maintain themselves as they once did.

Morning All !!

It is Thursday and morning. Thought I would drop a note...

Apology

Sorry to all who actually read my blog. I have been hibernating of late trying to recoup some energy before I go into massive August rush of coven stuff, replacing people at various jobs, preparing for CMS, and getting out to the elementary schools to remind them who I am.

July is to be a lazy month... I hope.

I am in the process of reworking the Level 1 for CMS (and that will mean major changes to the website). New books and new readings. New courses and teacher training. It is all quite exciting. I love focusing on this.

Awakening Isis

Wow... what an amazing time I had! Believe it or not, but I actaully kicked back and relaxed!! I feel great. I had some quiet reflective time by full moonlight to think about some things that have been stressing me and evaluate them and revaluate them and my involvement. Spirit guides us as Spirit needs to within our needs. And needs change.

I need a bit more reflection and some thime to share and bounce feelings off others, but I am more prepared to think clearly and calmly now.

I met some great people I only get to see at festivals. I led a fun stone lore workshop. I slept LOTS. I listened to Bards (new and old) and the moving rhythms of the nightly drumming.

It was a great retreat!!
