Up Early!!
Yes... I am up early. I am heading out to assist my Mom in teaching grade 6 at a new school we have not been at before. I will be introduced to folks and hopefully go onto the roster there as a sub for when they need.
It is odd. In this class is like... my second cousin, or however the geneology calls him. He is my grandather's brother's grandson, thus my Mom's cousin's son. *shrug*
Wish me luck!

Friendship Esbat
Last night Rosanne and I ran a Full Moon Friendship esbat ritual for the public. There was a small group in attendance... I was momentarily thrown off and had to take a moment to rebalance as I suddenly realized most of this ritual will have to be donw in French! Ikes!
Well, we did it. It went well. They all enjoyed themselves.
On newcomer to the ritual had made essence of Moldavite and generously gave me a bottle.
Thank you!

3 cats
I am down to three cats. I euthanized Valvet yesterday.
I didn't know what else to do. I feel guilty for it, but her constant yowling was going to get us kicked out of out apartment.

an update
My niece is doing well, so is the family as a whole.
My work schedule changed and will again next month. Today I have to go get a chain barrier for the consulting area to inidicate it closed, banking to fix a problem and arrange a meeting for CMS banking help, drop my cat at the vet... again...and do laundry at mom's.
Velvet's eye... sorta improves... then collapses and improves and collapses... it is now staying more on the improved stage than the collapsed stage, but i am out of blood serum for her, so back to the vet for a day.
Oh and I have to do research on rites of passage. That is always fun!

Happy Calendrical New Year!!!
*white rabits popped to mind...* but I forgot to say it out loud.
Well... the year has not started good. A mishap in a check to a credic collection compaly bounce for a losuy $10.01 missing from my account. Dammit. Will have to fix that as soon as the banks and post offices are open.
Beyond that. I look forward to the new work schedule and the potential new classes to teach.
This week I focus on organizing the house to that I may work on my old thesis. I want it properly completed so that I can apply for the Masters in Religion.
I don't make New Year's Resolutions anymore. But I do make goals:
- organize house
- finish thesis
- find CMS a new location
- get a handle on the finances
- start the Masters in Religion
No... a handfasting is not on that primaries list... *sad*
