Huricane Hell?
Irene blew through and Montreal got the edge of it. We never lost power in my home, but the friends whose place we were supposed to go to dinner at lost power for hours. We had to postpone. And the storms made for crazy cats ALL NIGHT! I got no sleep.
Hell continues with my baby snake still not eating and i am apparently lousy at force feeding snakes. Going to try again today with pureed pinkie. so gross.
To add to my day of gross, I have two cats not so well. Bagheera is losing weight but he is eating fine. he is also 13 years old and being old. Cloak, who is 12, has dropped half his weight this month. He refuses to eat anything but wet food or human food off the counters. He's been vomiting and has bad diarrhea. Staying home from work just to clean the mess. And calling the vet for quotes on tests.
I feel like a bad mom.
Off to run errands now to try to resolve or help the situations here with the pets and to be ready for other things this week. And will try to do some work from home so the day is not a total loss.

Birthday Update
So... I was away for my birthday. I was camping at the Festival where I took the store to vend. I did get some great things for my birthday before i left and during my time away.
I got a card from my Nanny (grandmother).
I got a box of nice shirts from mom and a card with $100. Although that went to taxi rides and physio. Not much of birthday money.
At KG (the festival), many people emailed me, facebooked me, and texts me their happy birthday wishes. It was lovely. some people at the festival remembered it was my birthday too and hugged me lots for my birthday. Rick got me yummy ciders that are only available in Ontario. MMMMmmm! JWW got me a camp chair that I badly needed since mine broke. And I got myself a drum!
As for my birthday wishlist... the Honda Ruckus is yet again not going to happen. Looks like I will buy myself the shelf next week. And the week after will buy my Teahouse Comics. The Kindle is still up in the air. and i still have red Lychee tea left so I can wait for that till later in the month or next month.
Did I have a great birthday? *shrug* I had a birthday. I am very happy with what I got. The hugs and wishes were wonderful and reassuring as I was feeling lonely.
Maybe next birthday I can have a child? That is on my new wish list.
